Chris W. Stoughtenger, 65

FULTON, NY – Chris W. Stoughtenger, 65, of Fulton, passed away Friday July 14, 2017, at Oswego Hospital, Oswego.

He was born in Fulton, to the late Francis and Deborah (Best) Stoughtenger.

Mr. Stoughtenger was a United States veteran having served in the Navy from 1978 to 1982.

He retired as a technology teacher.

Mr. Stoughtenger loved to live in different places and therefore taught in several school districts with Worchester School District in Worchester, NY, being his last placement prior to his retirement.

He was predeceased by his brother, Michael Stoughtenger.

Mr. Stoughtenger is survived by his wife of 28 years, Iva Stoughtenger of Fulton; eight children: Michael Stoughtenger of South Carolina, Larry Stoutenger Jr., of Fulton, Bonnie Norton of Fulton, Brian Stoutenger of Fulton, Christopher Stoughtenger of Fulton, Colin Stoutenger of Fulton, Krista LaDue of Fulton and Daniel Stoughtenger of Otsego Lake, NY; seven siblings: Jerry Stoughtenger of Fulton, Estelle Haggerty of Fulton, Deborah Fiorini of Baldwinsville, NY, Doreen Ryther of New Mexico, Douglas Stoughtenger of Fulton, James Stoughtenger of Fulton and Francis “Billy” Stoughtenger of Syracuse; 29 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family.

Burial will be held privately.

The Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. Second St. S., Fulton, has care of the arrangements.
