Clyde H. Osborne, 65

FULTON, NY – Clyde H. Osborne, 65, of Fulton, died Thursday April 25, 2013, at Oswego Hospital.

He was born in Fulton to the late Homer and Cassie (Ives) Osborne.

Mr. Osborne was a lifetime resident of Fulton.

He worked as a meat cutter with Ives Meat Market, Volney; and he was the meat room manager at Tops, Fulton, for several years.

Mr. Osborne later retired from the Town of Volney Highway Department.

He enjoyed watching car racing.

Mr. Osborne was predeceased by his siblings: Bruce and Lois.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Kathleen Osborne of Fulton; four children: Shawn, Wesley both of Fulton, Todd of Liverpool, NY, and Debra (Shelly King) Dixon of Durhamville, NY; siblings: Vance (Evelyn) Osborne of Baldwinsville, NY, and Ellen Allen of Phoenix, NY; five grandchildren: Jacob Osborn, Karlee (Taylor) Nichols, Nicholas Osborn, Cassie Osborne and Isabella Osborne; one great-grandchild: Harper Nichols; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Sunday at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church, Volney, with Rev. David Grey officiating.

Burial will be held in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Sugar Funeral Home, 224 W. Second St. S., Fulton. missing or outdated ad config

  1. I went to high school with Clyde and I remember him as being kind and funny. We had some classes together and I can still see him turning around and with a wink and smile telling me a story or joke. I have often thought of him over the years with fond memories, his cover-all, his smile and his kind eyes. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of sorrow.
