Daniel P. Phillips, 59

FULTON, NY – Daniel P. Phillips, 59, of Fulton passed away peacefully on Tuesday May 9, 2017, at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born in Syracuse, NY, and had been a resident of Fulton for 22 years.

Mr. Phillips had worked as a service manager with Hill’s Heating and Air Conditioning for more than 35 years.

He enjoyed watching NASCAR, boating, camping and having bonfires with friends and family.

Mr. Phillips was a dedicated volunteer having helped ready the Boy Scout camp “Sebattis Beavers”  during their Beaver Weekend for 24 years.

Daniel was always a selfless man, true friend who never had an unkind word towards others and enjoyed helping friends and family.

He was predeceased by his mother, Marylou Webster.

Mr. Phillips is survived by his wife of 30 years, Sandra A. Phillips of Fulton; two sons, David Wright of Fulton and Daniel (Alesia) Wright of Volney; step-father, Edward Webster of Solvay, NY; siblings,  Richard (Michelle) Phillips of Auburn, NY, Doug (Cindy) Phillips of Solvay, NY, Lynne (Paul) Iamondo of Warners, NY, and Norma (Kevin) Thompson of Auburn, NY; four grandchildren, Lily Wright, Cody Wright, MaKenalyn Johnson and Trevor Hartle-Knapp; father, Larry Phillips of North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 7 p.m. Friday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., with Rev. Sandra Rude officiating.

Burial will be held privately.

Calling hours will be held 4 to 7 p.m. PM Friday at the Sugar Funeral Home, 224 W. Second St. S., Fulton.

  2. I worked with Dan for a few years. He taught myself and plenty of others a lot more than just the HVAC trade. He was a very smart, dedicated, loving, caring and giving individual with endless but very humorous jokes, sharing plenty of laughs and knowledge in which I still share and use to this day, thanks to him. To Sandy, your family and friends my heart goes out to all of you, I am so very sorry for your loss. Dan, you will surly be missed.
