FULTON, NY – Derick Mattice, 30, of Syracuse, NY, passed away unexpectedly at home early Thursday morning October 13, 2016.

He was born in Watertown, NY.

Derick worked for River Valley Foods, Syracuse.

He loved his dog, Machete, and he enjoyed playing X-Box.

Derick was also an avid drawer.

He is survived by his parents, Billie Jean and Nathan Hollis of Volney, NY; his nine siblings: Michael Mattice of Tennessee, Jeaniemarie Battles of Laconia, NY, Abram Salisbury of Volney, Kayleigh Hollis of North Carolina, Nathaniel Hollis of Fulton, Jonathan Hollis, William Hollis, Benjamin Hollis and Samuel Hollis all of Volney; maternal grandparents: Paul and Jean Poole of Pulaski, NY, and William Mattice of Phoenix, NY; two aunts: Marie Bennett and Marguerite Mattice both of Pulaski; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will be having a celebration of life.

There will be no calling hours.

Burial will be held privately.
