George Hundycz, 94

FULTON, NY – George Hundycz, 94, of Fulton, died Friday August 15, 2014, in Oswego Hospital.

He was born in Minetto, the son of the lateTheodore and Katryna (Suchania) Hundycz.

He retired from Nestle’s after 40 years of service.

He was a sergeant in the United States Army Airforce serving in England.

He was a member of the CCC in NYS during President Roosevelt’s term.

He was an avid bowler and golfer.

Mr. Hundycz is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary Hundycz of Fulton; two sons, Larry (Roxanne) Hundycz of Florida and Daniel Hundycz of Horseheads, NY; a sister, Sophie Galini of Radisson; grandson, Christopher; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Hundycz was predeceased by his son, Michael Hundycz, in 1977; sisters, Ann Rogers and Sister Serephica; and brother, Peter Hundycz.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Tuesday at noon in Holy Trinity Church.

Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Calling hours will be Tuesday 11 a.m. to noon prior to the mass at Holy Trinity Church.

The arrangements are in the care of the Sugar Funeral Home, 224 W. Second. St., Fulton.

  1. You were a very good man with a big heart. I still see the tears in your eyes, when ever I had to leave you. You will be missed deeply Uncle George. I know your in a better place were God will look over you. We love you so very much.

  2. Mary and Sons, I am so sorry to read about George. I enjoyed working with him (and Larry) and think of your family every May. Always enjoyed our chats when you were working at the bank. Can’t make the funeral, but you will be in my prayers.
