I was sorry to hear of your dads passing. I’m sure I met him at open house years ago, when I told him you were abetter student than you were, or, more likely that you were not working up to your ability. Either way I’m sure he knew the real story. I’ve been where you are now, and now I have nothing but good thoughts about the man who taught me more than I ever taught anyone.

Dearest Marg,
Checking the news from back home as I usually do every now and then, I found this sad news. I wanted to send you a note that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers as you mourn the loss of your dear George. I have only wonderfully fond memories of you and George from way back when you were dating each other. Mom and dad would certainly have shared in your loss if they were alive today. They loved you both so much.
Sincerely,
Hallie
