Gerald Hammond, 84

FULTON, NY – Gerald Hammond, 84, of Fulton passed away peacefully on Tuesday May 1, 2018, at home surrounded by family after an extended illness.

He was born in Fulton to the late Harvey and Mary (Ormsby) Hammond.

Mr. Hammond had remained a lifetime resident of Fulton.

He retired from Northern, Fulton, after working for 42 years as an operating engineer.

Mr. Hammond enjoyed the nature surrounding his home and spending his weekends at the dirt racetrack.

He was predeceased by his siblings: Rose, Beverly, Lillian, Harvey and Paul.

Mr. Hammond is survived by his wife, Brenda Hammond of Fulton; daughter, Brandy Hammond of Fulton; step-daughter, Crystal (Ralph) Casillo of Fulton; brothers: Pete Hammond of Fulton and Bill Hammond of Phoenix, NY; four grandchildren: Albert Brooks, John Casillo, R.J. Casillo Jr. and Virginia Bednarski; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be no funeral service.

Calling hours will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. Second St. S., Fulton.

Burial will be held privately in Jacksonville Cemetery, Lysander, NY. missing or outdated ad config
