Irene A. Goodman

OSWEGO – Irene A. Goodman, of Oswego, died peacefully Monday May 4, 2026 at her home with her family by her side.

Mrs. Goodman was born in Oswego the daughter of the late James and Anna (West) Young. She retired after more than twenty years as an account manager for Marine Midland Bank. Mrs. Goodman was a longtime member of St. Joseph’s Church and a member of the St. Anne’s Society. She always enjoyed getting together with her friends to play a good game of bunco.

Mrs. Goodman was predeceased by her husband Richard Goodman in 2018, and her sister Mary Kavanaugh. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Goodman is survived by her children Rick (Joan) Goodman of Oswego, Dan (Tammie) Goodman of Horseheads, NY and David (Alice) Goodman of Oswego. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be private.

Entombment will be in All Saints Mausoleum.

The arrangements are in the care of Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, 147 W. 4^th. St. Oswego.
