James J. Tetro, 89

FULTON, NY – James J. Tetro, 89, of Fulton, died Tuesday November 25, 2014, at his home surrounded by his family.

Mr. Tetro was born in Fulton, the son of the late Joseph and Adeline (Raymou) Tetro.

Mr. Tetro retired from the Teamsters’ Local at twenty-five years where he worked at Nine Mile Point nuclear plants in Scriba and Sealright, Fulton.

He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War.

Mr. Tetro was a longtime volunteer at Holy Family Church and he was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Sealright Recreation Club.

He enjoyed going hunting and fishing.

Mr. Tetro is survived by his wife, Elizabeth “Betty” Tetro of Fulton; children, Nancy (Richard) Matthews of Texas and Joseph (Lorraine) Tetro of Oswego; sisters, Julie Hoyt, Pearl Canale and Josephine Puglia all of Fulton; grandchildren, Ryan (Michelle) Matthews, Jason Strickland, Rebecca and Shandelle Tetro; and one great-granddaughter, Melody.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. in Holy Trinity Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.

Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
