    Dear Annie and family,
How sad I was to learn of Jim’s passing. I know how sick he was last summer when I was in town. I want you to know how much I have appreciated Jim and your many kindnesses over the years. You both did much to make the West River Road South a real neighborhood. You and your family are in my prayers this Holy Week.
    Blessings.
    Arlene
