OSWEGO, NY – John Lagoe, 70, of Oswego, died Saturday May 24, 2014, at the
Veterans’ Hospital, Syracuse.
He was born in Oswego, the son of the late George and Dorothy (Dale) Lagoe Sr.
Mr. Lagoe worked at Wade’s Diner since 1960, starting as a dishwasher and later becoming the headcook.
He enjoyed fishing and watching NASCAR.
Mr. Lagoe served in the United States Army from 1967 until 1969.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Gene Lagoe, George Lagoe Jr. and Carol Losurdo.
Mr. Lagoe is survived by his sister, Sharon Crisafulli of Oswego; close friend, Anne Demm of Oswego; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday 6 p.m. at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, Oswego.
Burial will be private.
The calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home, 147 W. Fourth St. Oswego.
