John P. Hegmann, 72

FULTON, NY – John P. Hegmann, 72, of Syracuse, died at Central Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Syracuse.

Mr. Hegmann was born in Mineola, NY, and he had been a resident of Syracuse since 2012.

He was a United States veteran having served during the Vietnam War.

Mr. Hegmann was past employed with the Department of Public Safety, Long Island, NY, as a custodian.

He additionally had worked in retail as a stockman.

Mr. Hegmann is survived by his children, Michael (Ellen Merriam) Hegmann of Oswego and Maureen Hegmann of Tennessee; his sister, Trudy Hegmann of Mineola; and four grandchildren: Maylynn, Shawn, Nico and Stephanie Hegmann.

A celebration of life and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.

The Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. Second St. S., Fulton, has care of the arrangements.
