FULTON, NY – Joseph F LaBeef, 68, of Fulton, died Saturday June 25, 2016, in Veterans’ Hospital, in Syracuse.

Mr. LaBeef was born in Fulton, the son of the late Mador and Margaret (Clemons) LaBeef.

He retired from Lockheed Martin, Syracuse, after 41 years of service.

Mr. LaBeef served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1965 until 1969, as a medic.

He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and cooking.

Mr. LaBeef is survived by his wife of 46 years, Millie (Smith) LaBeef of Fulton; sons, Joseph (Mary) LaBeef of Fulton and Steven LaBeef of Fulton; and his grandchildren, Kirby, Koda, Schyler and Levi.

In addition he is survived by his siblings, Peggy Wheelock of Watertown, Dory Allen of Fulton, Steven (Sherry) LaBeef of Fulton and Joanne (Tod) Gibson of Fulton; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his son, Michael LaBeef, in 2006; and his sister, Tobie Hemings.

Funeral services and burial will be private.

  2. Played a lot of whiffle Ball with Joe & Steve and the rest of the 6th warders @ Erie St School, A nice guy,didn’t know he was still around.

So sorry for your loss he was a great man and will miss and love uncle joe always so many good memories he was there for me while I was growing up and taught me a lot I will always be grateful to him take care of your self and Joe and Steve if you ever need anything please call me love you guys always Kathy miller
