Joyce Elaine MacDonald, 75

FULTON, NY – Joyce Elaine MacDonald, 75, of Fulton passed away on Sunday May 7, 2017, peacefully at home, surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Mrs. MacDonald was born in Oswego, NY, and she remained a lifetime resident of Fulton.

She had formerly worked at Fulton Savings Bank, Fulton.

Mrs. MacDonald enjoyed life to the fullest and she loved to travel.

She was predeceased by her husband, Ronald MacDonald, in 2011.

Mrs. MacDonald is survived by her four children: Kelly (Ted) Brackenrig of Ossining, NY, Linda (Danny) Dlugozima of Florida, Stephanie (Tom) Cleland of Olathe, Kans. and Chad MacDonald of Colorado; her sister, Janice LaRussa of Fulton; her brother, Norman “Sparky” Bovay of Fulton; seven grandchildren: Edward, Ryan and Chad Brackenrig, Daniel and Tyler Dlugozima, Hunter Cleland and Griffin MacDonald.

Funeral services will be conducted at 6 p.m. Friday, May 19, at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. Second St. S., Fulton, with Rev. John Canorro officiating.

Burial of Joyce and Ronald MacDonald will be held 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton.

Calling hours will be conducted 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc. missing or outdated ad config

  1. We loved Joyce ,never before have I meant such a brave woman who ,s zest for life just lit up a room everytime she would enter it ,You hear this alot but the world truly will be a bit more lonesome without Joyce ,she was always up for anything ,and could turn a ride home into an adventure

  3. I have known Joyce since High School. I use to see her at the Towers when I visited with Edith. We would do catch-up. She will be missed.7

Joyce & I have been friends for years, she lived near me in 2 different places, when I moved to FL. we lost touch, only phone calls, we saw each other at class reunion & had a great time together, so glad we had some time to remember the good times, so sorry for the family, sorry I can’t come up for my good friend. I will think of her often.
