Lindy Aluzzo, 87

FULTON, NY – Lindy Aluzzo, 87, of Fulton, passed away suddenly at Oswego Hospital, Oswego, on Tuesday January 2, 2018.

He was born in Lynn, Mass., to the late Dominic and Angelina (Cuzzolin) Aluzzo.

Lindy was a resident of Fulton for most of his life.

He was a United States veteran having served in the Navy during the Korean War.

Lindy worked as a union mason, and bricklayer with several construction companies.

He was also a co-owner of Canal Point Restaurant, Fulton.

Lindy was a member of the Fulton VFW Post #569.

Lindy loved to cook for an army and having and a good drink.

Lindy was devoted to his predeceased family and he made a daily visit to St. Mary’s Cemetery.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Mary Margaret Aluzzo; and great-granddaughter, Geonna Calkins.

Lindy is survived by his wife, Kathleen Aluzzo of Fulton; daughter, Gina Scerbo of Fulton; siblings: Christine Ritz of Baldwinsville, NY, Mary Simpkins of Florida, John (Marguerite) Aluzzo of Baldwinsville, NY, William Aluzzo of Rhode Island and Yvonne Hoopingarner of Florida; two grandchildren: Joseph (Brittany Wallace) Scerbo and Lindy (Kenny) Calkins; two great-grandchildren: Belladeonna Calkins and Emery Scerbo; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 4 p.m. at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. Second St. S., Fulton.

Burial will be held in the spring at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton.

Calling hours will be conducted 2 to 4 p.m. Friday at the Sugar Funeral Home.
