Louise A. Porter, 69

OSWEGO, NY – Louise A. Porter, 69, of Fulton, died Monday November 7, 2016, with her twin sister, Linda Robillard, after suffering injuries in a motor vehicle accident.

She was born in Oswego, to the late John and Minnie “Katherine” (Goldstine) Callan.

She had been a resident of Fulton for most of her life.

Mrs. Porter retired from Oswego Hospital after working 38 years in the Housekeeping Department.

She was an active member of the Crossroads Tabernacle Church, Fulton.

Mrs. Porter is survived by her husband of 24 years, Ronald Porter of Fulton; two  sons: John (Tina) Wallace of Hannibal, NY, and Ed (Judy) Wallace of Oswego; stepchildren: Jason (Wendy) Porter of Nebrask, Jolene (Jason) Strack of Maryland; and her brother, John (Kay) Callan of Scriba, NY; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Porter and her sister, Mrs. Robillard, will be conducted Monday at 9:30 a.m. in the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home with Rev. John Coleman officiating.

Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Oswego.

  1. Dear Ron and family, I was so sad to read about Louise and Linda. I worked with both of them at Oswego Hospital although more closely with Louise. She was always smiling and good natured. I will never forget how happy she was when the two of you married.
