FULTON, NY – Mary Closs, 88, formerly of Fulton, passed away peacefully in Suncoast Hospice Care Center Palm Harbor, Fla., on Saturday April 11, 2015.
She was born in Fulton, to the late Frank and Catherine (Yucura) Gowda.
Mrs. Closs remained a life resident of Fulton until moving to Clear Water, Fla., with her son.
Mrs. Closs was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, John Closs, in 2008; and three siblings: Anne Phillips, Veronica Gowda and Peter Gowda.
Mrs. Closs is survived by her daughter, Joan Marie (Gene) Seabaugh of Colodado; and son Gary J. Closs of Florida.
Mrs. Closs was buried privately Wednesday, April 15 at Fairdale Cemetery, Hannibal, NY, following her last wishes.
The family has requested that donations may be made to the American Cancer Society 6725 Lyons St., East Syracuse, NY 13057.
The Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. Second St. S., Fulton, had care of the arrangements.
