  1. Ms. Becker was my 8th grade math teacher and I did well in her class. She was tough and no nonsense, which made her a very good teacher. I’m glad I had the opportunity to tell her this about 10 years ago. My condolences to her friends and family.

  2. I am saddened to learn of this passing. I have fond memories of Miss Becker; she always dressed like a Donna Reed or June Cleaver; I was in her 8th grade math class at Phillips Street School in 1963; it was during her class we learned of the assassination of President Kennedy. She was a gracious, kind woman. My thoughts and prayers for family and friends during the days and weeks ahead.

  3. Miss Becker was our 6th grade teacher at Lanigan, and then our 8th grade teacher at Phiillip Street. When I saw her at Seneca Hill rehab last summer, she recognized me and said some complimentary things. I wondered if she really recognized me, or if she was just being courteous. Then she asked about my brother, and I knew she was still as sharp as a tack. We can only hope to be as kind, considerate, and mentally sharp as our Miss Becker. RIP.
