FULTON, NY – Melanie Studer, 50, of Fulton, passed away Thursday February 25, 2016, after a short illness, at Bassett Medical Center, Cooperstown, NY.
She was born in Elgin, Illinois and Melanie had been a resident of Fulton for most of her life.
She was predeceased by her father, Bernard “Bud” Studer.
Melanie is survived by her longtime fiancé, Roy Harvey Sr. of Fulton; two sons: Paul Carpenter of Connecticut and Roy Harvey Jr., of Fulton; her mother, Ola Studer of Illinois; her sister, Karen Braese of Illinois; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 10:45 a.m. Saturday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. Second St. S., Fulton.
Burial will be held privately.
Calling hours will be conducted Saturday from 9 to 10:45 a.m. at the Sugar Funeral Home.

Melanie was a sweet person. I loved her dearly. As her sister-in-law she will be missed.
