Nicholine ‘Nicky’ M. Iamaio, 97

FULTON, NY – Nicholine “Nicky” M. Iamaio, 97, of Fulton, died Wednesday March 4, 2015, at Michaud Residential Health Services, Fulton.

She was born in Fulton to the late Anthony and Rose Corsoniti.

Mrs. Iamaio was a lifelong resident of Fulton.

She was a member of the Reformed Presbyterian Church, Fulton.

Mrs. Iamaio was a great cook and she loved to cook and share meals with her family.

Her family felt that she had a heart of gold.

Mrs Iamaio was predeceased by her husband, John Iamaio, in 1978; several siblings and son-in-law Don Kidd Sr.

She is survived by her children: Theresa (Jim) Weinhold of Fulton, Tony (Joyce) Iamaio of Fulton, Michael (Martha) Iamaio of Florida, John (Betty) Iamaio of Webster, NY, Nick (Kathy) Iamaio of Minetto, NY and Tom (Becky) Iamaio of Florida; siblings: Tony Corsoniti of Fulton, Rose Tenery of Florida and Mary Latino of Fulton; 14 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Burial will be held in the spring at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton.

Calling hours will be conducted 3 to 6 p.m. Monday at the Sugar Funeral Home, 224 W. Second St. S., Fulton.

Nicky’s family would like to extend its sincere gratitude to the staff at Michaud Residential Health Services, especially the second floor staff for its respect and compassion that they always extended to their mother.

  3. So sorry to hear of Nicky’s passing. Growing up she was the sweetest (besides my mom) mom in the neighborhood. One of the things I remember most is the smell of her “sauce” on Sundays……it was delicious!!!!! You were all so lucky to have her for so many years and she was lucky to have you!!! I will keep you all in my prayers. She’s in heaven for sure and smiling down on you all with that beautiful smile of hers.
