Rachel R. Trepasso, 95

OSWEGO, NY – Rachel Rebecca (Robinson) Trepasso, 95 of Sparks, Nev., died Thursday July 17, 2014.

She was born in Anderson, Ind., to the late Chester and Mabel (Gault) Robinson.

Mrs. Trepasso was a former resident of Oswego, before moving to Nevada 13 years ago to be close to her family.

She was a former employee of General Electric Company, Syracuse, NY.

Mrs. Trepasso was a member of the Relief Society of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

She loved spending time with her family, listening to music, reading and animals.

She also enjoyed watching TV especially nature shows.

Mrs. Trepasso was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Joseph John Trepasso, in 2000; her daughter, Madeline and son-in-law, Gerry Lloyd; and siblings, Cora Reynolds, Chester Robinson Jr. and Abbie Clute.

Mrs. Trepasso is survived by her children:  Venna (Mary Lee) Trepasso of Hannibal, NY, and Sebastopol, Miss., Joanne Millard of Reno, Nev., and Darlene (Fred) Svetz of Sparks, Nev.; six grandchildren: Gerry (Karen) Lloyd, Scott (Beth) Lloyd, Summerville, SC, Julie (Robert) Hutsell, of Utah, Joe (Megan) Svetz, of California, Sarah (Jeremy) Robinson, of Minnesota and Lisa Svetz of London, England; nine great-grandchildren: Zachary Lloyd, Madeline and Jillian Lloyd, Kairi, Gabrielle and Elizabeth Hutsell and Isabella, Natalya and Joseph Svetz; and several step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

There will be no calling hours.

Committal service and burial will be held Thursday at 9 a.m. in All Saint’s Mausoleum, St. Peter’s Cemetery, Oswego.

  1. God has received one of his children into his kingdom. Aunt Rachel was a wonderful person and she will be missed greatly. Knowing her was a privilege. She is resting in the arms of The Lord. May all of you find comfort in the memories of the love you shared with her. We love you.
