FULTON, NY – Richard A. Place, 58, formerly of Fulton, passed away peacefully at his home in Dryden, NY, on Monday August 29, 2016.
Mr. Place was born in Fulton and he had been a resident of the Ithaca, NY, area since 1975.
He retired from Cornell University after 30+ years of employment.
He was an avid Cowboys fan.
Mr. Place was a quiet and kind person who will be deeply missed by his family.
He was predeceased by his father, Harry Place.
Mr. Place is survived by his mother, Mary R. (Bevacqua) Place of Fulton; three siblings: Gary Place of Jacksonville, Fla., Gerry (Nancy) Place of Newfield, NY, and Ben (Sharon) Place of Fort Myers, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held noon, Saturday, September 17, at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. Second St. S., Fulton, with Rev. Moritz Fuchs officiating.
Burial will be held privately.
There will be no calling hours.
