Roger Dings, 83

FULTON, NY – Roger Dings, 83, of Fulton, passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, Friday November 7, 2014.

He was born in Fulton to the late Robert and Clarissa Andrews Dings.

Mr. Dings remained a lifetime resident of Fulton.

He was a United States veteran having served in the Marine Corps from 1952-1954.

Mr. Dings retired from Armstrong World Industries after 38 years of service.

He was a longtime communicant of Holy Family Church, Fulton and a current member of Holy Trinity Parish, Fulton.

Mr. Dings was predeceased by his son, Roger Andrews Dings; sisters: Lena Brown, Margaret Keil, Eleanor Durfey and Carol Dings; and brother, Robert Dings Jr.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Teresa M. Dings; children: Mary Beth Dings, Michael and wife Ann Dings, Steven and wife Sheila Dings; grandchildren Matthew Dings, Erin Dings and Adam Dings; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Trinity Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. James Schultz.

Burial will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton.

Calling hours will be conducted 1 to 4 p.m. Monday at the Sugar Funeral Home, 224 W. Second St. S., Fulton.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Charles and Mary Haney Fund, in care of Mr. Steven Thomas, 140 W. Sixth St., Suite 110, Oswego, NY 13126, with thanks and recognition to Dr. Jonathan Wright and his staff.

    We are so sorry to hear of your father’s passing. May you cherish all of the wonderful memories of him and smile and laugh about them each time you think of him. He is in heaven now watching down over you and giving you his blessings. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
