Roland ‘Peanut’ Vanderhaden, 71

FULTON, NY – Roland “Peanut” Vanderhaden, 71, of Fulton, died Friday August 15, 2014, at Oswego Hospital after a long illness.

He was born in Fulton to the late Charles and Mary “Lucille” (Blake) Vanderhaden.

He remained a lifetime resident of Fulton.

Mr. Vanderhaden was past employed with Mirabito’s, Fulton, and the Knifeworks, Fulton.

In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and as he got older he loved having “coffee hour” and socializing with his family and friends.

Mr. Vanderhaden was predeceased by his twin brother, Ronny Vanderhaden; and siblings: Patricia VanDusen, Donald Vanderhaden, Edward Vanderhaden, Charles Vanderhaden and Sharon Vanderhaden.

Mr. Vanderhaden is survived by his niece and caregiver Mary Ann Kimball of Fulton; five siblings: Gary Vanderhaden of Fulton, William (Carol) Vanderhaden of Fulton, Carol Hendricks of Fulton, Linda Bartosek of Oswego and Donna (Clarence) Duciaume of Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., with Rev. Moritz Fuchs officiating.

Burial will be in Fairdale Cemetery, Hannibal, NY.

Calling hours will be conducted 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. Second St. S., Fulton. missing or outdated ad config

  3. The family lived just down the street from us on Phillips St. Over the years I have spoke of them often thinking how did they do it with 12 children. The nicest family you would ever want to meet. I am so sorry for your loss. Sheila (Case)
