FULTON – January 14, 2025, Troy J. Pierce, 44; of Fulton passed Tuesday, January 14th, 2025, at home while he slept due to a silent cardiac event.
Troy was a lifetime resident of Fulton; NY, having graduated in 1998 from G’Ray Bodley High School and later graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the State University of NY at Oswego. Troy was a subcontractor working at Novelis with Veolia, Pittsburgh, PA as a water treatment operator. He was a true kid at heart loving Star Wars, Legos, Movies and Video Games. He was a fan of anything superhero attributed to Marvel, X-Men, DC and Transformers. Troy was also a true fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers Football, LA Dodgers Baseball, NY Rangers Hockey and NASCAR. He loved wearing baseball caps both forward and backwards along with his favorite sports jerseys. He liked watching ESPN and Sports Center and would fanatically check daily sports scores on his phone while catching a car race on the television. Troy was stubborn, and vocal yet always willing to listen to another’s points of view. He loved to talk and talk he did—never afraid to “poke the bear” and banter about politics, religion, current events and humanity’s triumphs and failures. Troy was also a wonderful cook. He enjoyed fatherhood and would take to Facebook creating a hilarious narrative for his children when they were babies giving his audience insight with a comedic voice about being new parents and describing the newest member of the family that now ruled the house and terrorized the cats aka their minions. Troy loved humor and laughing whether it was appropriate or even a tad inappropriate usually gauging how far he could push his audience. He was described as a super loving Dad who never refused to give the best cuddles to his girls, smile at them saying “Boo,” and bringing them to laughter time and time again.
He felt it was always necessary to be nice to children and even though they may be little they too deserved respect. Troy was always willing to share a big bear hug, hike his girls up in his arms to give them a ride or let them know they were safe when they were with him. Having lost his father: John Pierce in May of 2016 he lived by the motto: “hug your kids today, because you never knew if you would have tomorrow.” Troy was a devoted husband to his wife and best friend for over 14 years: Rachel Pierce, a loving dad to his two daughters: Kara and Elise Pierce all of Fulton and a loyal son to his mother: Ellen Pierce of Fulton.
