Wanda Fay Pappalardo, 75

FULTON, NY – Wanda Fay Pappalardo, 75, of Fulton, passed away peacefully on Saturday April 2, 2016, after a brave battle with cancer.

Wanda was born in Kettle Island, Kentucky, to the late Blaine and Lela Mae (White) Cooper.

Wanda was the administrative assistant at Holy Family Church for 26 years before retiring to spend time with her family and grandchildren.

Wanda enjoyed reading, crocheting and especially spending time with her four grandchildren.

She loved to vacation in the Adirondacks and recently visited Acadia National Park and Haliburton, Canada.

She made the best southern stuffing and cornbread and was she was famous for her deviled eggs that were highly requested at every family gathering.

Wanda was predeceased by her loving husband, Leo.

She is survived by her beloved daughters: Beth (Dave) Pappalardo-Mitchell of Whitesboro, NY, Cheryl (Steve) Sovare of Webster, NY, Angela (Ted Sherman) Pappalardo of Williamsville, NY and Deanna Pappalardo of Fulton; her four grandchildren, Leo, Ian, Audrey and Nina; her siblings, Don (Glenda) Cooper of Lexington, Kentucky, and Blaine Jr. (Kaye) Cooper of Dayton, Ohio; her in-laws, Rosa and Dick Kemmis, Sam and Rosalie Pappalardo and JoAnn Natoli; and her many nieces and nephews.

Wanda was also predeceased by her brother, Rex Cooper; sister, Ada Schneider; and brother-in-law, Robert Natoli.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Minetto, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Robert Stephenson.

Burial will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton.

Calling hours will be conducted 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Sugar Funeral Home, 224 W. Second St., S., Fulton.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Catholic Charities Food Pantry of Oswego County.
