Wava Wilson, 92

OSWEGO, NY – Wava Wilson, 92, of Oswego County died Friday June 7, 2013, in Rome Center, Rome, NY.

Mrs. Wilson was born in Peterboro, NY, the daughter of the late Earl and Pearl (Gough) Hauck.

Mrs. Wilson retired from Oneida Ltd. after many years of service.

She was predeceased by her husband, Robb Wilson, in 1995.

Mrs. Wilson is survived by her children: Audrey Wilson of Rome and Richard Wilson of Central Square; grandchildren: Georgia Newbury, Shari Rizio, Robb Clark, Karen Kotary and Lisa Clark; her brother, Richard Hauck; her niece and caregiver, Judith (Richard) Parker; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday June 25 at Peck Cemetery, County Route 4, Scriba.

Donations may be made to the Oswego County Office of the Aging.

  1. I wonder if she knew ‘of’ the Bloomerite women in Peterboro when she was a youngster? She certainly would have known about Gerrit Smith who gave Oswego such a wonderful historic library!
