William F. Pittsley Jr., 76

OSWEGO, NY – William F. Pittsley Jr., 76, of Fulton, died Friday February 23, 2018, in Oswego Hospital.

He was born in Oswego, the son of the late William and Luba (Dulin) Pittsley.

Mr. Pittsley worked for the Painters’ Local # 38, Oswego.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge Lake City # 127 and was the past commander of the Masonic War Veterans # 414, Oswego.

Mr. Pittsley served in the United States Army from 1964 until 1967.

He was predeceased by his wife, Helen Fultz Pittsley, in 1982; his granddaughter, Desirae Pittsley, in 1996; and his brothers, Ronald and Brian Pittsley.

He is survived by his daughter, Jean (Jane Wagoner) Fultz of Oswego; his son, Mark Pittsley of Fulton who has been is caregiver for the past two years.

He is also survived by his sisters, Joyce Spohn of Arizona, Teresa (Dan) Sova of Florida, Judy (Don) Cornell of Scriba; his 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and caregivers.

Calling hours will be Thursday March 1, from 4 – 6 p.m. at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, 147 W. Fourth St. Oswego.

Private burial will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Child Advocacy Center of Oswego County, 163 S. First St., Fulton NY 13069.
