Gladys Irene Marshall (nee Kinch), 70, of Fulton and formerly of New Dublin, Canada passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2009 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Syracuse, while surrounded by her loved ones.
She was predeceased by her parents Ells Kinch and Bernice Pepper, sister Vera Earl and brother Jack Kinch, and parents-in-law Harry and Erma Marshall.
Gladys was the beloved wife of Joseph Marshall for fifty-three years. Dear mother of Mary Pittsly (Bill) of Oswego, NY, Terry Marshall of Winchester, VA, and Laurel Henderson (Shane) of Watertown, NY. Grandmother of Lucas Pittsly, Zachery and Eric Acome, Lee and Alexandra Henderson. Dear sister of Irvin Kinch, Stanley Kinch (Norma Jean), Joan Warren, Alice Villeneuve, Elsie Dillabough (Lyle), Ileen Serson (Stephen), and Evelyn Dillabough (Lorne). Also survived by sisters-in-law Lorna Vanderklote and Grace Fenn (Karl).
Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville, Ontario, Canada on Wednesday, September 9th from 2-4 and 7-9pm.
A service in celebration of Gladys’ life will be held in the Chapel at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 10th with cremation immediately following at Roselawn, and final interment and committal service at New Dublin Cemetery at 4 o’clock Thursday afternoon.
In remembrance, donations to the Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged. Local arrangements are entrusted to Foster Funeral Home, Fulton.
