John A. Fox, Jr., 99 of Pennellville, NY died Friday October 16, 2009.
Born to his late parents, John A. and Anna (Hueble) Fox, Sr. on April 14, 1910 in Sun Praire, Wisconsin. John owned and operated a dairy farm in Pennellville. In his later years, he worked at Sealright, Fulton, and General Electric, Syracuse, where he retired. A communicant of St. Stephen’s Church, Phoenix, NY. Many thanks to the staff at St. Luke’s Health Services, Oswego, for their wonderful care and comfort of John.
Pre-deceased by his two wives, Ella I. (Mills) Fox, April 5, 1963, Thelma L. (Dale) Fox, August 23, 1994.; a son, LaVerne J. Fox April 8, 1999; a sister, Florence Yager, in July of 2009. Surviving are two daughters, Betty M. (Tony) D’Amico of Lyons, NY and Johnna A. Isabell of Pennellville; one step-daughter, Sandra J. (Jack) Klase of Cicero; one sister, Arlene Langdon of Webster, NY. A wonderful father and grandfather he was, and he leaves behind 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; nieces & nephews. He will be missed dearly by all.
Services are at 9:30 am this Friday at St. Stephen’s Church, 469 Main St., Phoenix, with the Rev. Philip Brockmyre officiating. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton. Calling hours are 3 to 7 pm on Thursday at the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, 431 Main St., Phoenix.
