John A. Musacchio, 92

John A. Musacchio, 92, also known by his professional name, Jan Stuart, died Tuesday evening at Pontiac Nursing Home.

Mr. Musacchio was born in Canastota and was the son of the late Gerald and Flora Musacchio. He was the husband of Mary J. Bosco Musacchio.

Mr. Musacchio took great pride in his service in the US Army during WWII. He had been employed for many years as a maintenance supervisor at SUNY Oswego.

He attended Syracuse University School of Music and was a member of American Federation of Musicians Local 267-441. Mr. Musacchio was a Communicant of St, Mary’s Church and a member of St. Mary’s Men’s Choir for many years.

He was a member of American Legion Post 268 and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Musacchio is survived by one daughter Lygia Ann Musacchio of Utica, one son William F. (Janet) Musacchio of Oswego, two sisters Amelia Kimball of Canastota, Rosemary Rice of Syracuse, one grandson John Anthony Musacchio of Oswego and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by two brothers Peter Musacchio and Gerald Musacchio, Jr. both formerly of Canastota.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association 17 Technology Place East Syracuse, NY 13057. Arrangements by the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home.

    I’ll always remember playing in the band with your DAD AND YOU , and then having the pleasure of playing music with Johnny.
