OSWEGO, NY – Josephine Sansone, 85, of 83 E. Ninth St., Oswego, died Monday June 16, 2008, peacefully at her home after long illness.
Mrs. Sansone was born in Oswego the daughter of the late John and Onofria (Juiffre) Palmesono.
She was a former supervisor at Taggarts of Oswego, and she was a communicant of St. Joseph Church.
Mrs. Sansone was predeceased by her husband, Anthony “Doc†Sansone, in 1996; her brother, Angelo Palmesono, in 2007; and sister, Rose Pilotta, in 2006.
She is survived by her loving son, Anthony “Tony†Sansone of Oswego; and sisters, Virginia (Ray) Ross of Oswego and Kay (Sam) Sugar of Oswego; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday 8:30 a.m. from the Sugar and Scanlon Funeral Home and 9 a.m. in St. Joseph Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.
Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Wednesday 4 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home, 147 W. Fourth St., Oswego.
