Lucy M. DeRousie, 91, 10/01/2009

OSWEGO, NY – Lucy M. DeRousie, 91, a former resident of Route 104 East in the town of Scriba, passed away Thursday Oct. 1, 2009, at Seneca Hill Manor.

Mrs. DeRousie was born in Oneida, NY, the daughter of the late Salvatore and Josephine (Mondello) Sansone.

She had lived in Oswego for many years.

She was the wife of the late George F. DeRousie, who died in 1989.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed in Oswego as a sales clerk with Green’s Department Store and also with Key’s Drug Store and Fay’s Drug Store.

She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church, and a former communicant of St. Louis’ Church.

She is survived by three sons, George (Karen) DeRousie Jr. of Pennellville, Joseph DeRousie of Benton City, Washington, and John (Beth) DeRousie of Oswego; three grandchildren, Joseph, William, and Daniel; four great-grandchildren, Zoe, Luke, Rayne, and Lilliana; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a grandson, David DeRousie, who died in 2008.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, in St. Mary’s Church.

Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, 112 E. Second St., Oswego.
