FULTON, NY – Margaret C. Griffis, 80, of Fulton, died Sunday Nov. 4, 2007, at A.L. Lee Memorial Hospital in Fulton.

Born in Fulton, she was a life resident the Fulton – Minetto area.

Margaret C. GriffisMargaret was employed at Woolworth’s, Hunter Fan Company and Nestle Company all in Fulton.

Margaret loved gardening and her cats.

She was predeceased by her husband, John H. Griffis Jr., who died in 1994.

Surviving: three sons, Kevin Griffis, Kyle (Sue) Griffis all of Fulton and Kraig Griffis of Syracuse; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Ethel Kolek of California; brother, Leo Bishop of Florida; several nieces and nephews.

There are no calling hours or services.

Foster Funeral Home, Fulton, has charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made in Margaret’s name to the Minetto Fire Department, P.O. Box 99, Minetto, 13115 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 1 St. Jude Place Bldg, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 300, Memphis, Tenn., 13148.

  3. I enjoyed Margarets sence of humor. I thought of her every day as I went by her house.

  4. Haven’t seen Margaret in years but I still occassionally see the boys. I’m doing her grandsons wedding reception next year. I’ll always remember her smile and sense of humor and how easy she was to talk to. She always told it from the heart! One more Angel in God’s midst. She’ll be missed…
