HANNIBAL, NY – Mary Jane Battles, 86, of Hannibal, died May 22, 2008, at Rosewood Heights Health Center in Syracuse.
She was born in Fulton and lived in Hannibal for the past 67 years.
Mary was a homemaker and for years she performed upholstery work from her home.
Mary was a member of the Prior Stock American Legion Post #1552 Ladies Auxiliary in Hannibal.
She was predeceased by her husband, Roger S. Battles, who died in 1990; and a son, Larry R. Battles, who died in 2003.
Mary is survived by a son, George (Lissa) Battles of Cicero; sister, Blanche (Robert) Truax of Cicero; daughter-in-law, Karen Johnson of Lugoff, SC; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Foster Funeral Home, Hannibal.
Burial will be in Fairdale Rural Cemetery, Hannibal.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, 837 Cayuga St., Hannibal.
