Michael David Friot, 57

Michael David Friot, 57, of Fulton, made the journey home to be with the Lord on the morning of Saturday, September 19, 2009 at University Hospital in Syracuse.

Born in Syracuse, he was a life resident of the Fulton area. Michael retired from Huhtamaki Company in Fulton. He had attended Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. Michael was a member of the Granby Center United Methodist Church and was a long time Boy Scout Master of Troop 722 in Granby Center. He was a member of the Fulton Lions Club.

Michael was predeceased by his parents, Roy and Barbara Friot.

Surviving: his wife of 34 years, the former Anita M. Cotton; a son, U.S. Army PFC Joshua M. Friot, proudly serving his country in Iraq; siblings, Roy (Karen) Friot, Penny Kemp and Theresa (Bradley) Blakeman; many nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services are 6 p.m. Friday at the Granby Center United Methodist Church, 420 County Route 3, Fulton. Calling hours are 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton.

  1. I worked with Mike for a short while and also know him from my parents bar, The Farm Tavern. Mike was such a nice guy, he will be missed! My thoughts and prayers go out to Mike’s family…..

  2. I did not know Mike but I must acknowledge his brother Roy’s loss. We may be out of touch but certainly kept him in mind and now in prayers. John C from the coin club
