Paul A. Belfiore, 94

Paul A. Belfiore, 94, of Fulton, died Thursday at The Manor at Seneca Hill.

A native of New York City, Paul had resided in Fulton since 1929. He retired in 1979 after ten years as a custodian with the Fulton Consolidated School District. He had owned and operated his own vegetable farm for many years.

Paul was a communicant of The Church of the Immaculate Conception, Fulton. He was also a member of the Garden Club of Fulton, Mount Pleasant Grange, Oswego County Vegetable Growers and the Volney Senior Citizens.

Paul was predeceased by a great grandson, Christopher Montgomery who died in 2000.

Surviving: his wife of 66 years, Josephine T. Belfiore of Fulton; a son, Ross A. Belfiore of Fulton; two daughters, Grace M. (Leland) Briggs of Fulton and Pauline A. (Charles) Patnode of Oswego; two sisters, Santina Ferlito of North Carolina and Edna Mistretta of Syracuse; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

A calling hour will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday with a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Trinity Church, 309 Buffalo Street. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Attn: Memorial/Honor Program, One St. Jude Place Building, PO Box 1000, Department 300, Memphis, Tennessee, 38148.
