Raymond F. Best

Raymond F. Best, the son of the late Clarence and Mabel Best, passed away at his home on Monday.

He was a lifelong resident of Fulton and was a graduate of Fulton Schools. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1954 to 1956 and had retired from Sealright, Inc. in 2006 after 44 years. Ray was a member of the Fulton Bowling Association Hall of Fame, an avid hunter, fisherman and bird watcher. He was a proud fan of the NY Giants and NY Yankees sports teams.

He was predeceased by his wife of 42 years, Jeaneen Gray Best and his infant son, Mark Raymond Best. He was also predeceased by his brothers, Kenneth and Robert Best.

Ray is survived by: his son, Roderick (Victoria) Best; his daughter, Melissa (Annette Lee) Best; one granddaughter, Michaela Best; his beloved dog, Toby. Calling hours will be held 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton. Services will be private.
