After a long illness, Ron W. Matzke, 63, of Pennellville, NY, passed away on Monday November 16, 2009. He was surrounded by his caring family. Ron was born in Baldwinsville. He served in the US Army 1966-67. Ron worked for O.C.O., Fulton for 11 years; previously employed by Ryder Truck Rental for 18 years.
Pre-deceased by his mother and father, Geraldine (Sperbeck) and John P. Matzke, Jr.; and his brother, Jack Matzke.
Surviving his loving wife of 43 years, former Patricia Cullen; two daughters, Christy Matzke (Jim Lawson) of Solvay, and Janet Matzke (Rob Cottrell) of Pennellville; three sisters, Connie (Reg) Horner of Phoenix, NY, Anne (Jim) Wyman of Bracey, VA;, Heidi (Kendall) Waldron of Fulton; one brother Thayer (Dawn) Matzke of Bridgeport; two grandchildren, Jessica Lawson, Anthony Lawson; several aunts, nieces, and nephews.
Calling hours are from 4 to 7 pm Friday Nov. 20, at the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, 431 Main St. Phoenix. Services are at 7 pm with the Rev. Caroline Simmons officiating. Military honors will be offered as well.
