Rose M. Manwaring, 57, 06/13/2008

OSWEGO, NY – Rose M. Manwaring, 57, and a resident of 75 E. Cayuga St., died Friday June 13, 2008, at her home.

She was born in Oswego and was the daughter of the late John and Edith Kimbell Searor.

She was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary of American Legion Post 268 and a life member of VFW 5885, she was an avid scrapbooker.

She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Lane R. Manwaring; three daughters, Diane M. (Timothy) Mattison of Fulton, Julie A. (Jason) Livesey of Oswego, Holly R. Manwaring of Penfield; one son, Robert L .Manwaring of Bridgeport; three brothers, John Searor of Lyons, Charles Searor of Oswego, Joe Searor of Fulton; two sisters, Charlene Fosdick of Nebraska and Mary Searor of Oswego; eight beloved grandchildren, Kaitlin Brightman, Austin Matteson, McKenzie Matteson, Kyle Manwaring, Kaeden Livesey, London Jones, Cassara Jones and Bradley Livesey.

Services will be Wednesday 9:30 a.m. at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, with Rev. Guy Baccaro officiating.

Burial will be in Peck’s Cemetery.

Calling hours will be Tuesday 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

  1. Sorry to hear about your lost. I don’t know if you remember me but Rob and I was friends living down on mitchell street. I hope everything is fine. When I was in the navy in the iraq war in 1991 she wrote me and told me everything is going to be fine. I will never forget that. So take care and I’m so sorry. joe
