  3. shannon’s passing was not in vain, though the pain is surely surreal to those who love her, the river which will forever on keep her spirit is one of the most beautiful places in the world, we never met shannon, but my wife and i can’t help but feel the pain as we were there that day only a few minutes after it happened before the wardens showed up, nobody told us us that someone was in trouble, we saw a man being helped by the rescue near the road, we wish they had said something about someone else being in danger. we know that river better than anyone, we wished we could have helped in some way, we will say a prayer in her honor when we return to the place we hold close to our hearts….never say goodbye – the stewarts
