Sherri A. Parkhurst, 44

OSWEGO, NY – Sherri A. Parkhurst, 44, a resident of 38 E. 11th St. died Sunday March 14, 2010.

She was born in Hagerstown, Md., and was the daughter of Patricia Bolster Copeland and Robert E. Arnold.

She was the wife of Robert J. Parkhurst.

Sherri enjoyed boating and fishing, camping, gardening, and all things outdoors.

She also enjoyed baking and spending time with family and friends.

She was a life resident of Oswego.

She had been employed for many years as the head cook at St. Luke Health Services, Inc.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children, Joseph R. Parkhurst and Jonathan D. Parkhurst both living at home; her mother and stepfather, Patricia Bolster Copeland and Thomas Copeland of Oswego; two brothers, Thomas L. (Julie) Copeland II and Robert C. Copeland both of Oswego; her mother and father-in-law Bev and Don Parkhurst of Oswego; three brothers-in-law Donald (Blanche)  Parkhurst of Virginia, Douglas (Donna) Parkhurst and James (Linda) Parkhurst all of Oswego; one, sister-in-law, Kimberly Douglas of Oswego; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday 9:30 a.m. at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home.

Burial will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

An  educational  fund will be established for Sherri’s children.

  1. Joe went to school with Heather and is sending her feelings. She is very upset and so am I How could this happen and why? Love to the family

  2. I am deeply sadden by the sudden passing of Sherri. Although I didn’t really know her personally, my son is very good friends with hers and it shocked me when I hear this happened. My heart goes out to the family.
