OSWEGO, NY – Sherwin M. H. Clark, 77, of 287 Walnut St., Oswego, died Friday June 13, 2008, in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Syracuse, after a short illness.
Mr. Clark was born in Volney the son of the late Ray and Myrtle (Lawton) Clark.
He worked at Nestle’s from 1963 until his retirement as a machine operator in 1992.
Mr. Clark was a member of the American Legion, and the Scriba V.F.W.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict from 1952 –1954.
Mr. Clark is survived by five sons, James (Shirley) Clark of Indianapolis, Roger (Patty) Clark of Oswego, Jeff (Susan) Clark of Oswego, Peter Clark of North Carolina, Paul (Laurie) Clark of New Haven; and four daughters, Julie Louis of Oswego, Jean (John) Paternoster of Hannibal. BettyJean (Robert) Paternoster of Scriba, Theresa (Ron) Durgan of Hannibal; his brother, Ray Clark of Caughnoy; and sisters, Violet Boigeol of Oswego, Elizabeth Conway of Fulton, Eila Shiffer of Camden and Elsie Campbell of Watertown; and 21 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday 10 a.m. at the Church of the Nazarene, 914 Utica St., Fulton.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Tuesday 4 to 7 p.m. at the Sugar and Scanlon Funeral Home, 147 W. Fourth St., Oswego.
