Theodore M. Losurdo, 53, 07/20/2009

OSWEGO, NY – Theodore M. Losurdo, 53, a resident of 144 Nine Mile Point Road in the town of New Haven, died Monday July 20, 2009.

He was born in Oswego and was the son of the late Joseph P. and Thelma Platt Losurdo.

Mr. Losurdo was formerly employed with the city of Oswego Department of Public Works and more recently was employed as a mechanic with Lindsey Aggregates.

He enjoyed snowmobiling, jet skiing and riding his ATV.

Mr. Losurdo was an avid NASCAR fan and had attended races at Dover.

He is survived by one daughter, Jessica Mitchelson of Oswego; five brothers, Joseph (Peggy) Losurdo of Jo Lo Shores, John (Debbie) Losurdo of Jo Lo Shores, Anthony (Linda) Losurdo of Oswego, Michael Losurdo of Scriba, David Losurdo of Jo Lo Shores; two sisters, Catherine (Charles) Tonkin of Town of Oswego and Margaret Syrell of Oswego; one granddaughter, Stephanie Mitchelson; many nieces and nephews including Matthew Losurdo of Oswego and James Losurdo of Jo Lo Shores.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by one brother, Peter Losurdo.

Calling hours will be Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.

An educational fund will be established for Mr. Losurdo’s granddaughter. Donations may be made in c/o: Catherine Tonkin 322 Thompson Road M-3 Oswego, NY 13126.
