Velma J. Bond, 96

Velma J. Bond, 96, a resident of 100 W. Oneida St. Oswego, passed away October 4, 2008.

Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of the late George and H. Nelle (Robison) McCoy.

She was employed as a Sales Clerk at Klines Department Store in Oswego.

She was a member of the Church of the Resurrection. Velma enjoyed spending time with her family and word puzzles.

Surviving are two daughter, Carolyn Auyer and Virginia (Alexander) Dedyck, both of Oswego; five grandchildren, Craig (Kathy) Auyer, Kenneth (Donna) Auyer, Michael (Jennifer) Auyer, Jeffrey Auyer and Julie (Jim) Bell; ten great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Bond in 1979.

Funeral Services will be held 10a.m. Wednesday at the Nelson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery, town of Oswego.

Calling hours will be held 4-7p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, 11 West Albany St. Oswego.
