OSWEGO — September 2, 2026 — Residents from across Oswego County will come together this Saturday, September 5th, from 10–11 a.m., for a rally celebrating Lake Ontario and the long, friendly relationship shared with our neighbors in Canada. The gathering will take place on Bridge Street along East Side Park.
The rally is designed as a unifying event focused solely on appreciation for the lake that shapes our daily lives and for the cross border connection that has endured for generations. Participants are encouraged to bring flags, signs, and messages of goodwill highlighting the shared love of Lake Ontario and our Canadian neighbors.
Organizers emphasize that this is not a political demonstration, but a celebration of community pride, environmental beauty, and international friendship.
“Lake Ontario connects us,” organizers said. “This rally is about gratitude for the water we share and the neighbors we value.”
All members of the public are warmly invited to join in honoring Our Beautiful Lake Ontario and the enduring bond with Canada.
