A couple of months ago i wrote a letter to this editor concerning HUD and landlords and the subpar conditions some people have to live in while HUD still continues to pay the landlords even if the inspections fail. I was writing on behalf of my daughter and now it seems i did the wrong thing by complaining because now she has been told she and her 4 kids have to leave the apartment by the end of February. The apartment manager and landlord failed to correct all the discrepancies in the apartment so HUD stopped payment and now the landlord evicted her. It’s not easy to find an apartment suitable that accepts HUD and now we are struggling to find a place. HUD does not seem to want to get involved in helping her find a place but they did provide a voucher. So anyone reading this and you’re living in an apartment subsidized by HUD and have a landlord that won’t fix things that are wrong in your home, you might have to just live with it, don’t complain or you may be left out in the cold
