Lake ONTARIO

I’m writing in support of Lake Ontario. I’ve heard it said, “It’s only a name.” Well, names matter; words matter. This is not about resisting change; it’s about honoring history, something the current regime is blatantly working to alter or eliminate. This has hit Oswego so hard because it is OUR history, and no one should be able to erase that.
What this is really about is a man-child throwing a temper tantrum. It’s childish, weak, and pathetic. And it’s about distraction. To distract people from an unsanctioned, unpopular war, soaring food, housing, and gas prices, the destruction of historical buildings, monuments, and land in DC and throughout the country, the ever-increasing, in-your-face NAKED corruption coming out of this White House, and oh yes, the Epstein files. Every day it’s another incredulous act that when you see it, you think this MUST be satire. Then you research it and, nope, it’s all too real. Most recently, I was made aware of the hateful, fascist inspired, video games aimed at children hosted on an official .gov domain. Research it yourself. Congress has abdicated its role in defending the Constitution and Democracy, so it is up to US, you and me, to stop this regime. It has to start somewhere, and right now, somewhere is Oswego, NY, on Lake Ontario, “where the water never ends.” We must stand up for what is right and not cower to a bully or live in fear of the consequences of standing up to him.
