Oswego County Earth Week a Success

To the Editor,

The Oswego County Environmental Management Council would like to thank  all the individuals, families and groups that participated in our Earth Week  Cleanups, helping make our county greener and cleaner.  The activities show a pride and caring of  community.

Earth Week is a week long date on the calendar, but the concept and ideas are what  are carried out throughout the year.

Keeping our communities litter free increases their beauty, creates safer environments and has a positive impact on economic development.

We hope next year will continue to show the same  positive interest in working together working for our environment.

It is with much appreciation the council (EMC) thanks all the businesses and organizations that contributed the gifts for the Earth Week drawing.

Photos of the winning groups, along with  photos of groups and individuals that participated in Earth Week, can be viewed at: https://www.facebook.com/OswegoEMC

The drawing will be held May 19. Look for the posting of those photos shortly after the drawing is held.

A big thank you to all that participated.
