Oswego Celebrates Elementary All-County Talent

OSWEGO – Music education in the Oswego City School District has paid off for a few dozen students who recently were selected to perform in the Oswego County Music Educator’s Association All-County Band and Chorus Festival.

Held recently in Hannibal, the festival provided the selected students an opportunity to shine vocally or instrumentally alongside other talented elementary peers throughout Oswego County.

Students were selected based on recommendations from their music teachers.

The chorus ensemble featured the following OCSD elementary students: Caitlin Whitney, Audrey Donovan, Torianne Blakeley, Mischa Palmitesso, Haley Richmond, Sadie Pratt, Ella O’Connor, Keira Pennington, Faith Sheldon, Nathan Carr, Madison Casaletta, Jose Ramos Jr., Madelyn Christ, Caleb Cunningham, Lauren Adkins, Ella Culligan, Daniel Dunn, Jackson Hollenbeck, Nick Towsley and Elijah Rowe.

Band students selected for the all-county ensemble were: Amithy Fellows and Gissell Ruiz-Ramos (flute), Bradley Woods (clarinet I), Alyssa Spicer and Molly Wells (clarinet II), August McDonald and Zachry Munger (bass clarinet), Trevor Chamberlain (tenor saxophone), Connor Albright (bassoon), Makayla Demott and Alaina DiBlasi (trumpet I), Hailey Barbera, Jacob Barton and Amanda Porter (trumpet II), Aiden Chwalek (trombone), Miles Bandla and Ethan Cliff (baritone), Tatum Shambo (tuba), Mason Naumann (mallets) and Brooklyn Saternow (percussion).
